Overview
Dubrovnik was beautiful, but a little on the touristy side. It felt a little like Disney-esc crowds. That said, it's a beautiful city and well worth a visit. We stayed in an apartment which is the best way to go if you want to stay within the Old Town walls (which you do). Climb the main stairs in the middle of Old Town (you'll find them) and follow the signs to the "Drinks with the Most Beautiful View". Lopud Island, about an hour by boat from Dubrovnik is well worth a quick exploration if you stay a second day
